How to customize MyTasks page

For more convenient work, you can customize the My Tasks page for yourself.

Field display settings

To enable or disable a column in My Tasks, use the Fields menu.

Fields set.png

Available fields and what they mean:

  • Id - enables displaying the internal task number in Prodtrack (almost never needed for operation).
  • Name - displays the task name (in freelancing, all your names must be of the same animation_freelance type).
  • Thumbnail - a useful column that allows you to quickly access the last playblast you uploaded in this shot.

(please note that it takes some time to load all the playblasts)

  • Status - displays the current status of your task.

"(When a task is in progress, its status should be wip, if you see a different status in this field before you start working on the shot, contact your coordinator.)"

  • Cut duration - the number of frames in your shot.
  • Characters count - the number of characters in your shot.

(This value is calculated automatically and is not always correct, for example, if there are several characters in your shot that use the same rig, then all such characters will be counted as 1).

  • Assigned to - shows who this task is assigned to. (since these are your tasks, you will always be listed in this column).
  • Reviewers - this shows the person who gives you feedback on your work.
  • Start date - the start date of the shot.
  • End date - the date when the shot should be finished. A very important date, always keep an eye on this column!
  • Date l. version note - shows the date on which the last comment on the last playblast you uploaded was written.

(You can turn on this column, and see by the date update that a review appeared on your last playlist).

  • L. version date - the date when you uploaded the last playblast for this shot.
  • Project - displays the number of the project to which the selected task belongs.
  • Duration - this column is under development.
  • Link - displays the full name of the shot and quick access to the page with information about it.
  • Link ID - unique shot number in Prodtrack (not needed for the animator to work).
  • Link type - what exactly the task is linked to (tasks can be linked not only to scenes, but also to assets).
  • Pipeline step - this shows which stage of production your task belongs to (for animators, this is always Anim).
  • Description - a column with additional text information about your shot (here we can specify both the animation suggestions and the status of your payment).
  • Template task - this column is under development.

You can move your columns and change their order as you like-hold down the desired column with the left mouse button and drag.

Configuring Task grouping

Here you can set up a convenient way to group tasks.

Group set.png
Group.png

Types of groupings that may be useful to you:

  • Status - grouping by task status.
  • End date - grouping by delivery date.
  • Project - if you work with us on several projects at once, you can group your tasks by these projects.

Please note that the order in which the grouping is applied is important!
If you want to group your tasks by status and by project, it would be better if you first apply the grouping by project and then add the grouping by status, rather than the other way around.
use grouping in rare cases, setting up sorting will be much more useful for you< / small>

Working with filters

By changing the filters, you can enable and disable different tasks.

Filters set.png

Select the field with which you want to filter your tasks (for example, by task status):

Filters.png

Specify a condition for the filter:

Filters2.png

Types of conditions (not all types are considered, but only those that can be useful to you):

  • equal to - strict equality, you will be shown tasks only with the status that you select in the next column.
  • not equal to - strict inequality, all tasks with the selected status will be hidden.
  • contains - used for a text field (for example, Description), you can enter Paid and see only the paid shots, or enter waiting for an invoice - and see the shots for which we are waiting for an invoice from you.

In the last field, you need to select what your condition should be equal to and click Apply to apply the selected filters. In filtering, the order also matters.

Sorting of the tasks

You can use this setting to change the order in which tasks are displayed.

Sort set.png

Warning Important The applied grouping may interfere with the correct sorting operation.

You can use multiple sorting conditions to achieve the sorting and grouping effect.
For example, by selecting the sort by status and date of delivery, the top will display the shots that are in progress and should be delivered earlier than the others that are also still in progress.

Saving data in Excel

If necessary, you can save your tasks in Excel format using the Export button (you can also pre-set the filter settings to export only the necessary tasks).
